So did Colorado State University!
 
Researchers at CSU set out to find new perennial plants that would thrive in the Rocky Mountain environmental conditions and in 2019 named their Trial Garden’s top performers: Allium hybrid ‘ALLMIG1’, Dianthus x hybrida Kahorie® ‘Scarlet’, Hibiscus x hybrida ‘Cherry Choco Latte’Lamium, maculatum ‘Dark Purple’Miscanthus sinensis ‘NCMS2B’ and Delosperma ‘PJS02S’.
